Reactive Technologies CEO and co-founder Marc Borrett will be speaking at the Cleantech Club in November 2014 at The Royal Institution of Great Britain. National Grid and Tollgrade will also be speaking at the event which is themed “Keeping the Lights On”.
The energy regulator Ofgem is predicting that shrinking capacity margins are putting the UK’s energy supply at risk. Media reports tell us how ‘Blackour Britain’ will result in energy short falls, and how the UK and Europe could face winter blackouts as early as next year. Ofgem reports that, without new measures being introduced to mitigate the risk of power station closures, the security of our electricity supply could be at risk.
The aim of the Cleantech Club is to brief key editors on some of the emerging technologies that could help avoid such a scenario.
